I'd love to see a team invest some time in making a character interact with its environment properly, we're still using the same techniques we had 15years ago!! Yes, it's not specifically gameplay orientated in the traditional sense but.įighting in Fable? Hello!? It might as well have come from my days on the flaming ZX Spectrum, make it feel a little less Arcadey, less features, more love (I think Ico is a fairly good example of the direction I'm talking about). For example - Seeing an OTT soldier leaping over a wall - can we please start to make it look like there is some effort in leaping over the wall? How about linking that effort and result into the speed at which the character approached the wall? And so on. What I really, really want to see is a more seamless interaction between game character (in a character based game) and game world.
